A Deseret News Mother's Day themed Instagram post in which I was asked to illustrate a piece the Editorial Board was putting out. I asked a friend who recently became a new mother close to the time what a hard day can look like for a mother and illustrated exactly what she said. I wanted to go for a more whimsical/loose style, inspired by childhood and varying relationships between and children and their mothers.
